Context of the Organization:

Organizations must identify and understand the internal and external factors that can impact their OH&S performance. This involves considering legal obligations, stakeholder expectations, and the overall context in which the organization operates.

Leading and Worker Participation:

Top management needs to demonstrate leadership and commitment to OH&S, establishing a culture where employee involvement and participation are encouraged. Workers must have opportunities to contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of the OH&S MS.

Scheduling:

Organizations must establish clear OH&S objectives and develop plans to achieve them. This includes assessing risks and opportunities, determining legal and other requirements, and establishing processes for hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

Support:

Resources, including competent personnel, training, and infrastructure, must be provided to implement and maintain the OH&S MS effectively. Communication channels and participation mechanisms should be established to ensure effective internal and external communication.

Operation:

It is critical for organizations to translate the planned processes and controls into action with regards to hazards and risks highlighted. This include Put in place emergency response plans, operational controls and contractors.

Performance Evaluation:

It is therefore important to monitor and, more importantly, to measure OH&S performance with a view to enhancing its effectiveness.
